The department of Psychology, St.Xaviers arts and Science College was started in the year 2020 offering a Bachelor’s degree of Science in Psychology. The motto of the department is to offer standard theoretical ground to students with emphasis on critical aspects and practical skills in a supportive and collaborative learning environment. As the scope of application of psychology is increasing every day teaching research and extension activities are also directed to applied work. The Department offers space for overall personality and skill development specially designed curricular and co-curricular activities for overall student development with competence to deal with at a world-class level. The department includes two batches of forty-five students, a Counselling cell for college students, well equipped Psychology Laboratory, a Library, and four faculties with expertise in clinical, counseling, therapy, and life skill training.
