Description: Mathematics department was established in St. Xavier’s Arts and Science College in the year 2015 with 21 students in UG. Now the strength of the department is 47. Four staffs working in the department are well qualified.

Mathematics department provides a solid education in the basic subjects of Mathematics and its applications. The complementary courses of this programme also ensure exposure towards computer programming and statistical methods. This expertise students in numerical methods for problem-solving, statistical modeling and scientific computing. The course will also familiarize the students with suitable tools of mathematical analysis to handle issues and problems in mathematics and related sciences. This programme gives an opportunity to access a Master’s degree in Mathematics and Applied data science.
