Computer science department was established in St. Xavier’s Arts and Science College in the year 2011 with 7 students in UG. Now the strength of the department is around 130. Five staff working in the department are well qualified with M.phil.

Computer Application is the study of the theoretical and practical aspects of computer technology and its usage. The course provides knowledge in software engineering fundamentals, including software analysis and design, database management system and software metrics.

The computer science department helps students develop and practice their abilities as computer professionals, to lead and develop software applications for real world problems.  We conduct workshops and seminars throughout the academic year with the latest technologies, therefore our graduate students will be able to face the challenges of the modern technologies.
